Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a creative, relational effort that recognizes emotions as a rich source of information about ourselves.
This involves learning and working with the ways we experience and express ourselves. The complex process of change occurs through a gradual exploration of emotion that can help put our feelings into perspective and create new meanings about our experience (different than a cathartic venting of emotions). One goal of psychotherapy is to become more of oneself — not to be happy all the time, an impossible task, but to navigate one’s life with thoughtfulness and curiosity. This process is structured in one or two sessions per week at regular, consistent times. Jason Goldstein and Mara Applebaum both provide psychotherapy.
